Jim Maniaci  is a native of the St. Louis suburb of Jennings, Missouri; lived in Elkhart, Indiana; Palm Springs, California; and Las Vegas, Nevada before graduating from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. He majored in journalism at Loyola University in New Orleans, completing his bachelor’s degree at San Diego, Calif., State University.

During Jim’s radio and newspaper career he worked in Nevada, Louisiana, California, Arizona, and New Mexico. Jim moved to the Colorado River in January 2007, becoming a Laughlin resident and voter in December 2007. He was a charter member of the Peoria, Arizona, Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, and a member of the City of Winslow, Arizona, Focused Future program using an Edison Institute-based strategic growth plan for economic development which focused on the community’s strengths of transportation and tourism.     

During Jim’s career in reporting and editing he gained extensive experience in the field of economic development. He is currently chairs the Laughlin Town Advisory Board  and is a charter member of Laughlin Elks Lodge No. 2872 where he chairs the Board of Trustees. Jim is a past Rotarian, Lion, and Optimist service clubs member.

After being widowed [Almeda (Thomas) died from Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s] in July 2017, he and Sunny (Andrews) Garrison, a widow, were the 1st couple married by the new Senior Pastor of Laughlin Community Church, M. Ryan Stotler, on June 2, 2018. He is active in the church and is a member of the LCC Board of Trustees and the Stewardship Committee.

Teresa Trempe grew up in Santa Barbara enjoying the beach, friends and horseback riding.   After graduating she continued her education and felt a strong passion to work as a child phycologist with developmentally challenged children.   During this time she met her husband and relocated to Southern California where she became a full time mother while continuing her education.

Her goal to become a child phycologist took a back seat when she was introduced to an opportunity in property management in 1987.  She first began her career as a Leasing Consultant and took on more challenges as she moved into the role of Regional Manager with a nationwide company.  She felt that property management was challenging and always changing and it seemed like a good fit with her personality. During her career in property management she was still able to work indirectly with children by donating her time and assistance to the San Diego children’s hospital and the Riverside County Foster Home Group.  She continued her education and received an ARM (Accredited Residential Manager) in 2011 through the Institute of Real Estate Management.  In addition to her ARM credentials she also studied and completed business ethics and is a member of the Institute Of Real Estate Management which allows her to practice property management anywhere in the world.  She has made wonderful acquaintances and has dear friends through the career path that she has chosen. 

Teresa and her husband moved to Laughlin in 2014, and shortly after two of her three children followed.  She enjoys family, friends, traveling and animals.  She especially enjoys the close net community of Laughlin and the small town feel.  Teresa likes to volunteer her time in helping people in all aspects of life.  

Jeffrey Mercier has been with NVEnergy for 30 years. He started his career as a meter reader before becoming a Warehouseman in Laughlin from 1993 through 1998. While in Laughlin Jeffrey met his wife Sherry and they have been married for 15 years. They moved to Las Vegas, so Jeffrey could fulfill a lifetime dream of becoming a Journeyman Lineman which he accomplished in 2002.

​He returned to Laughlin throughout the years to assist with jobs that were being done around the community In August of 2012 an opening for the Laughlin Lines Supervisor opened, and Jeffrey’s wife encouraged him go for it. He was awarded the position and has been enjoying his work back in Laughlin ever since. 

Cheryl Crow moved to Laughlin in July 1988, with her husband and youngest daughter. She quickly became involved with the Laughlin Baptist church, which later became the Laughlin Community church. Cheryl and her family opened a barber shop Kruz-N-Kuts in January 1991, which still operates today.

Over the past 25 years Cheryl has
taken on many initiatives to serve the community including the Juvenile Prevention Committee, the board of Bobby Socks Softball and Laughlin Little League. She worked on the Booster Club board for six years and was a member of the Laughlin Town Advisory Board for seven years. Today Cheryl is actively involved with the Pro-Teens Youth group at the Laughlin Community Church and has been the president of Laughlin Republican Women since 2012. She recently became a board member of the LEDC, where she will continue to be involved with improving the community that she loves and plans to spend the rest of her life in. 

Gina Mackey
- Gina grew up in the country in Texas and relocated to California when she was a pre-teen.  Gina successfully raised two children in Southern California where she worked full time as the Manager of Market Research for Warner Bros. for a decade.  Her analytical skills along with marketing, and sales has helped her career along the way.

Gina moved full time to Laughlin, NV in May of 2015 and is successfully working as a Realtor at a local Brokerage.  Gina’s interest in the community has led her to work with the LEDC and was active on the Communications Committee.  Gina’s interest has also lead her to run for the 2016 election of the Town Advisory Board.  She is active at the Laughlin Community Church, and has what she describes as a passion for the people here in the community township of Laughlin. She hopes to help bring services and resources to the townspeople.

Eugene Williams is a retiree from the US Navy and Southern California Gas Company. He's the owner of Eugene Williams Consulting, and is a State of Nevada Notary Public and Commercial Registered Agent and Mail Forwarding Agency for the US Postal Service. Eugene was a former community college instructor at Rio Hondo College in Whittier Ca. and is a designated Adobe Acrobat Expert. 

He brings his knowledge of computer software development and community connections in support of the mission and objectives of LEDC.
